What do I need to do to get started?
To get started all you need to do is create a User Id and have an SSN to search. After you enter the individual's SSN, the system will tell you if there is information on file for that person. If so, you can choose which carrier to request information from. Then, you will select the work history type (Combo, Basic, or Current) and proceed to the order screen.

No.  Under no circumstances will there ever be a charge for creating a User Id.

How long does it take to create a User Id and get a password?
About 1-2 minutes.

When will I be charged the administrative fee to view a work history?
The only time you will be charged the administrative fee to view a work history is when you authorize it. The system will ask you for a credit card payment. Then, after you make your selection, you will be asked to confirm your request. If you have pre-paid the administrative fees in bulk, you will have the added convenience of authorizing payment only once to view the work histories you need based on the number of pre-paid work history fees you have on file. Note: if you have a DOT# you may order a work history at no charge through the mail.
