FAQ's Report Types

What is a Combo Work History?
The Combo Work History includes: Dates of Employment and Accident information. To receive any additional accident information provided by the carrier, please submit a valid accident release to DriverFacts.

What is a Basic Work History?
The Basic Work History includes the dates of employment.  Depending on the Carrier and their company policy, the Basic Work History may also include the rehire status and reason for termination (voluntary or involuntary). If the employee is currently employed, the Carrier may delay receipt of the work history depending on their company policy.

What is a Current Employment Status report?
The Current Status Report only tells you if the individual is currently employed or not for the specific employer you selected.

How do I know which report I need?
Generally speaking, if you are in the transportation industry and need employment dates and accident details on file for the applicant, then we recommend the Combo Work History.  If you are not in the transportation industry and are only interested in dates of hire, then we recommend the Basic Work History.  If you only need confirmation if an individual is currently working at a specific company, then we recommend the Current Employment Status report.  The most frequently ordered work history is the Combo Work History.

If I get one report but later decide I needed a different report for the same individual, can I upgrade?
Yes, you may upgrade any report you have already ordered other than Combo Work History.

To upgrade a report, follow these steps:

1) Return to the work history you wish to upgrade by clicking on the "My Account" page and then on the "Work History Tracking" button. Click the SSN link to the report you previously ordered on the list.

2) Click the "Upgrade Report" button located on the top right of the report. If you do not see an "upgrade report" button on the top right of the report detail page, then this report is already a combo report that cannot be upgraded.

3) Select from the upgrade options provided for your report and proceed to the credit card screen for the additional payment for this upgrade. (There are no options at this time to use a prepaid report to pay for the upgrade of an already existing report.)
