What is a Combo Work History?
The Combo work history includes: dates of employment and any DOT recordable accident information. Additional accident information may be provided by the carrier. To view any possible additional accident information provided by the carrier, please submit a valid driver consent specifying the release of accident information, to DriverFacts. What is a Basic Work History?
The Basic work history includes the dates of employment. Depending on the Carrier and their company policy, the Basic work history may also include the rehire status and reason for termination (voluntary or involuntary). If the driver is currently employed, the Carrier may delay receipt of the work history depending on their company policy. What is a Current Employment Status?
The Current Status only tells you if the individual is currently employed or not, for the specific employer you selected. How do I know which type of work history I need?
Generally speaking, if you are in the transportation industry, regulated by the DOT, and need employment dates and accident details on file for the applicant, then we recommend the Combo work history. If you are not in the transportation industry and are only interested in dates of hire, then we recommend the Basic work history. If you only need confirmation that an individual is currently working at a specific company, then we recommend the Current Employment Status. The most frequently ordered work history is the Combo work history. If I get one work history but later decide I need a different type for the same individual, may I upgrade?
Yes, you may upgrade any work history you have already ordered other than Combo work history.
To upgrade a work history, follow these steps:Back to Top1) Return to the work history you wish to upgrade by clicking on the "My Account" page and then on the "Work History Tracking" button. Click the SSN link to the work history you previously ordered on the list.
2) Click the "Upgrade Work History" button located on the top right of the work history. If you do not see an "upgrade work history" button on the top right of the work history detail page, then this work history is already a Combo that cannot be upgraded.
3) Select from the upgrade options provided for your work history and proceed to the credit card screen to pay the additional administrative fee for this upgrade. (There are no options at this time to use a prepaid administrative fee to pay for the upgrade of an already existing work history.)
